Virtually trouble-free operation reported October 1st 2008 The installation of 114
specialist strapping
machines from Mosca is
providing News International
with fast, high-quality
strapping of newspapers at
three custom-built
publishing houses. The
Mosca machines were
ordered by Ferag in 2006 as
part of a major deal to
supply News International
with state-of-the-art printing
equipment at new sites in
London-Broxbourne,
Glasgow and Knowsley, and
installed throughout 2007.
Since going operational,
the strappers have proved
their worth, as Allan Wain,
group manufacturing
director at News
International, confirms:
"We're very pleased with the
performance of the Mosca
machines," he states. "Since
installation, they have been
running virtually troublefree,
and it's a real bonus to
have equipment that is
specifically developed for
strapping newspapers."
Mosca was chosen for the
reliability, speed of throughput
and ease of maintenance
of its strapping machines,
confirmed over an extensive
three-month trial period. More articles from Mosca Direct Ltd: |
