Business blossoms for Logistex April 1st 2010 Logistex, a leading automated
logistics systems 4th party integrator,
has been selected by FloraHolland to
develop, install and implement an
innovative handling concept for its
Aalsmeer, Netherlands, warehouse
and distribution centre. The new
system will play a key role in
FloraHolland's long-term strategy of
demand-driven logistics and
following evaluation the successful
pilot scheme will be extended to
more parts of the distribution
process.
Over 60% of global exports in cut
flowers and plant sales go through
the Netherlands. FloraHolland
already handles 125,000 auction
transactions each day and the new
system will enable the company to
handle increased sales volumes.
