Eco investment October 1st 2009 Supporting three major airline
contracts won this year, Cranleigh
Freight Services (CFS) has invested
in 12 new DAF tractor units and
mega roller bed trailers. CFS
requested the units came with the
Euro 5 engine specification, resulting
in reduced cargo emissions.
The units were sourced and
supplied by the Guildford-based
Barnes Group and are fitted with
Fleetboard – a state of the art
telematics, tracking, communication
and management reporting system
CFS is also the first company in the
South of England to become part of
the ECO (Efficient and Cleaner
Operators) Stars Fleet Recognition
Scheme – the South Yorkshire
Care4Air initiative. To achieve a rating
of four stars CFS had to show its
environmental efforts, including
driver training, use of fuel management
systems and the age of its fleet. More articles from Cranleigh Freight Services: |
