Joint turnkey conveying venture April 1st 2009 Excel Automation and
MacDonald Humfrey
(Automation) have created
EXMAC Automation, a joint
venture that will provide a
comprehensive design, build,
commissioning and
installation service for major
turnkey conveying and
materials handling projects
around the world. The two
companies have already
worked together on previous
projects for a variety of
industries.
Commenting for the new
joint venture, directors Gary
Sweeny (pictured) and Mick
MacDonald say the
combination of Excel's
extensive experience in
conveying and materials
handling systems and
MacDonald Humfrey's
position as a leading supplier
of automation and control
solutions, has already
enabled EXMAC to
successfully tender against
major international
competition.
Says Gary Sweeny: "We are
delighted to announce that
EXMAC has been awarded a
multi-phase turnkey contract
to design and install flow-line
assembly systems for Rolls
Royce engine facilities in
Derby and Singapore."
He adds that prequalification
documents have
also been issued for other
major contracts in the UK
and overseas.
Emphasising the
combined strengths of the
joint venture, Mick
MacDonald says both
companies are well
established and profitable
British businesses with
world-class manufacturing
facilities and combined
resources including over 300
experienced staff. The
potential for the joint
venture should also ensure
stability and job security for
employees of both
companies. More articles from Excel Automation Limited: |
