New source for tomato packaging
September 1st 2009

Linpac Packaging has launched a new range of trays for tomatoes with an improved tray design to satisfy consumer demand for packaging that offers better product presentation.

According to Linpac, retailers are finding that packaging with a modern and clean design improves the way fresh produce is displayed, leading to increased sales. The new range of tomato trays also incorporates recycled content.

Available in a variety of colours which can be matched to existing product colour coding, the range is suitable for flow-wrapping and comes in a variety of sizes suitable for standard, vine, plum and baby plum tomatoes in various counts.

The new trays have been developed in partnership with PG Packaging, a leading supplier of packaging to the tomato industry.

PG packaging will be the main distributor of the trays to the UK market.
