The industry’s biggest Awards just got bigger January 1st 2012 In a year that sees the UK host the world’s greatest sporting event, the Fork Lift Truck Association’s 18th annual Awards for Excellence will honour the pick of the year’s best products and services, with an Olympic-sized extravaganza befitting their groundbreaking achievements.
And as long as you’re quick, there’s still time to book your table! This year’s blacktie event, co-hosted by gold medal Olympian Sally Gunnell OBE, will be held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on Saturday 18th February 2012 and the good news is that there are a few tickets still remaining via the FLTA website.
While the focus of the evening will be on the presentation of the ‘Archies’ themselves, hundreds of guests from the UK, Europe and beyond, representing our industry’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of fork lift trucks and ancillary equipment, will enjoy an evening packed with top class entertainment.
Opening the show with a breathtaking display of skills and balance will be Junior World cycling champion Joe Oakley, star of a sport that made its Olympic debut four years ago in Beijing: BMX.
Back by popular demand for Awards 2012 will be John Oliver’s LIVE: the UK’s number one eleven piece party and function band. With a stunning line up of four dynamic vocalists combined with a popular brass section, LIVE delivered such a blistering set at last year’s Awards that the dance floor was permanently packed – a tribute to the quality of their performance.
Rounding off the entertainment is a tribute of an altogether different kind: Kinisha whose pulsating show captures the very essence of the world’s greatest ever female Rock Legend: Tina Turner. The Heels, the Fishnets, the Strut, the Lips... but, above all… the Voice!
Making it happen
Mounting an event of this scope and scale would be simply impossible without the support of the Awards for Excellence Sponsors and Supporters.
Committed to nurturing excellence within materials handling, their financial
backing – along with the credibility their names bring to the occasion – are what
helped the Awards for Excellence achieve world recognition... and have kept them there since.
As the industry’s leading players, they represent almost every facet of the
materials handling industry and demonstrate, through their ongoing
commitment, a determination to nurture excellence. More articles from Fork Lift Truck Association: |
