UK Translift license for Excel
April 1st 2008 Excel Automation UK has
announced a license
agreement with TL-Systems
AG, the Swiss based Holding
company of the Translift
group. The agreement allows
Excel and its subsidiaries to
utilise the Translift
trademark, intellectual
property and EMS product
range, exclusively within the
UK. The new Excel subsidiary
formed to operate the
ongoing Translift EMS
business is Translift Systems.
Former supplier and
licensee Digitron-Translift
customers will be able to
obtain support, modifications
or extensions and spare parts
to existing projects, but
Translift Systems will have no
direct involvement in
completing any existing
projects or warranting
completed projects.

arrangement with TLSystems
AG is a major step
forward for Excel. The
Translift name is
synonymous with EMS and
the technology will dovetail
neatly with the other
products in our range of
materials handling solutions,"
comments Gary Sweeney,
general manager of Excel
Automation and Translift
Systems.
Viktor Blaser, director of
TL-Systems AG, believes the
new partnership will build
the company's reputation in
the industry, giving an
opportunity to re-launch
Translift technology in the
