UPN's prodigal returns to drive growth August 1st 2009 Pallet network, UPN, has
appointed industry expert
Andrew Spencer to the
board, as it continues to
grow its national palletised
freight network.
Spencer was recently
sales and marketing director
at another UK pallet
network, where he spent
four years building a
national network and
successfully implemented a
regional sales force, to
support growth. He joins
UPN to take responsibility
for adding new members to
the network.
"I have worked in the
logistics sector for two
decades in both parcel and
pallet networks. In fact, I
was part of the team that
was involved in starting up
UPN back in 2001, but I left
after four years, to join
another network. However, I
closely followed UPN's
progress and its growing
reputation in the sector as a
quality operator. It has
developed a leadership
position through its use of
technology and has
developed the first real time
signature capture system in
the palletised freight sector,
so UPN has a great story to
tell. More and more hauliers
are looking for ways to
improve service and reduce
costs and UPN has the
perfect solution." More articles from United Pallet Network (UK) Ltd: |
