Winning back lost warehouse areas September 1st 2009 Bendi says its articulated truck
enables more storage capacity in less
space. As a rule, warehouses designed
for counterbalance trucks are the
least space efficient, with aisle widths
of 3-4m in common use. Turning
and loading/unloading space at the
ends of the aisles also accounts for
'lost' space.
Lost storage space at the end of
aisles can be reduced when operating
articulated trucks. The trucks are
more manoeuvrable, and there's no
requirement for other types of
vehicle within the warehouse to
load/unload. Bendi articulated trucks
can stack/de-stack pallets and
load/unload them to or from lorries
in a yard, saving space, time and
investment in other vehicles types.
Bendi articulated trucks can be
used in warehouses with standard
floor finishes and the level of flatness
required for use with counterbalance
trucks – even where racking over
12m is used. Stand 214. More articles from Bendi: |
