SSI Schaefer developed the
ECOfresh crate following demand to
keep perishable food, particularly
fruit and vegetables, fresh during
what is often a lengthy logistics
process. The plastic container is
robust but light, and its quick and
easy folding mechanism reduces

The unit can hold a standard
mobile phone SIM card for remote
communication of data and speech.
It is designed for multiple drops on
to concrete and is sealed against
