Rugged radio data terminals
September 1st 2009 ATMS has launched a
new range of Radio Data
Terminals. The C2E is
designed and
manufactured by a
company that also works
with some of the big
mobile computing
manufacturers, enabling
ATMS to offer the
unit at around two
thirds of the cost of
many similar
products in the
market place.
The rugged SC700 series
mobile devices are IP67 rated and
will stand 1.5m drops onto concrete
– rubber shock absorbers help to
withstand abuse. |There are several
options available for the keyboard,
which is reverse printed for
durability and back-lit for ease of
use. A detachable pistol grip is
available.
Scanner options include
standard, long range and 2
dimensional. Inbuilt RFID
readers are also available, as
are options
for WiFi,
Bluetooth and
gprs/gsm communications.
Voice over IP (VOIP) is also
supported. The units come
with the Windows CE 5.1
