RDT warehousing solution

Supply chain software specialist, Indigo Software, has announced that Eastern Shires Purchasing Organ Organisation (ESPO) has selected RDT Warehousing designed specifically to integrate with System21 Aurora, for its new 120,000ft2 premises.

A joint Committee of seven Local Authorities, ESPO acts as a purchasing agent for its members and other customers and has an annual procurement spend exceeding £400 million.

Phil Jones, operations director at ESPO is confident Indigo's RDT Warehousing can meet the company's requirements: automating warehouse management processes, managing the transition and movement of stock to a new distribution centre, and maintaining its customer service levels.

During the initial phase of the project Indigo will ensure ESPO have the ability to introduce automated data collection equipment; provide a detailed project plan with procedures that allow goods to be transferred to the new distribution centre with minimum disruption; implement putaway and non requested moves (NRM) into the day to day warehousing activity; and move stock using an RDT (NRM) in the warehouse as required.
