Barcoders join elite band
April 1st 2007 Weber Marking Systems has become one of just eight UK coding companies – and the first in Scotland – to achieve GS1 Accredited Solution Provider status. The GS1 UK Accreditation Scheme enables end users to locate solutions providers with the knowledge and expertise to deliver products and services based on the EAN.UCC System for bar coding. This confirms their ability to devise and implement bar code solutions appropriate to individual customer requirements that are fully EAN.UCC compliant. "Our customers will benefit from the very latest knowledge, ensuring they are fully up to date with GS1 standards and that their bar codes achieve consistent readability at any stage in the retail and distribution chain," explains Bill Knox, Weber's md for UK and Ireland.
