Desktop printer is compact and low cost

New from Paxar is the 9742 desktop printer, which is compact and low cost. The unit prints labels and tags up to 100mm wide, either continuously or on demand, at a print speed of 100mm per second.

The 9742 has a desktop footprint of just 200 by 245mm, making it a particularly attractive option in applications where space is at a premium. Uses are anticipated to include box end shipping labelling in industrial and logistics applications, as well as meeting needs in the retail and healthcare sectors.

It accommodates a 180m supply role, which is securely housed inside the printer casing and labels can be printed in various widths from 25 to 100mm and in lengths from 25mm to over one metre.

This 203dpi resolution thermal transfer or thermal direct printer has been designed to have users up and running within minutes. It has a fast 32bit processor, 2mB DRAM and 2mB Flash ROM.
