Large character ink Videojets

Videojet Technologies has released the new Marsh 1100 and 3100 large character ink jet printers – for printing onto corrugated cases and trays.

Able to print 17mm high (Marsh 1100) or 70mm high (Marsh 3100), the printers use modern technology to deliver high performance and sustainable print quality with minimal maintenance and downtime, according to Videojet.

The company claims the printers’ patented automatic self-cleaning and selfmaintaining system ensures a perfect and repeatable print quality in all environments. It also says the units’ self maintaining printhead mechanism eliminates wasted ink and downtime caused by the regular priming, purging and cleaning essential on competing ink jets. Furthermore, the closed system means all ink used within the maintenance process is automatically recycled and filtered for reuse – ensuring low ink consumption and running cost. According to the company, the CLARITY touch screen interface means image changing is fast, easy and secure. Users can also prepare and preview the next job while still running the current image.
