Linx wraps up labelling
February 1st 2008 Sangenic has now applied
traceability information onto
the film used with its
Tommy Tippee Nappy
system, thanks to the Linx
6900 from Linx Printing
Technologies. The company
wanted to mark the end of
the high-performance
barrier film in the cassettes
to help the customer
identify where to start
dispensing it. At the same
time, Sangenic saw the
opportunity to add batch
date and time detail to the
film to aid traceability
throughout its
manufacturing and
distribution operations.
The Linx 6900 is now
running on Sangenic's high
speed lines 24 hours a day,
five days a week. In order to
optimise compatibility with
Sangenic's production setup,
the printheads are
mounted 3m in the air using
a quick release bracket and
locating pin, enabling easy
access for printhead
cleaning to ensure
production line downtime is
