Micropigmented inks ensure no bleeding
June 1st 2008

To suit a variety of end-user Large Character Marking (LCM) needs, Linx Printing Technologies has expanded its range of inks for the Linx IJ600 high-definition large character printer. In addition to the Linx Black ink LC8120, the new inks are Linx Red ink LC8130, Linx Green ink LC8140 and Linx Blue ink LC8150.

The micropigmented inks are designed for use with the Linx IJ600 for coding on to porous substrates where image quality and code legibility are important. They are suitable for wood, ceramics, paper and card, giving permanent legible codes.

Linx inks for LCM are oil-based and dry rapidly on suitable substrates. They have a low odour and low volatility, making them ideal for casecoding in food applications.

Micropigments ensure codes do not bleed. The printed message resists most organic solvents and Linx says it can withstand outside exposure in most environments for over a year
