codes. It is the first product
to be released under the
Metrologic Elite brand –
advanced
engineering
devices with
attention to detail.
The Metrologic
Genesis reads
very high density
linear and matrix
barcodes. It is
suitable for a
range of
environments
including manufacturing,
healthcare, retail and
transportation.
It features mobile
'couponing', enabling
scanning encrypted 2D
matrix barcodes on mobile
phones.This allows retailers
to issue targeted promotions,
and the entertainment
industry can give admittance
to various events.
Costs associated with
printing, distributing and
processing paper coupons
and tickets are eliminated by
using mobile phone
technology in this way. The
device can read barcodes at a
speed of over 200cm/sec. It
has four dedicated memory
banks, each capable of
storing full configuration
settings for RS232, keyboard
wedge, USB and 46xx RS485
