Next generation of wearable computer February 1st 2006 Voice-directed work expert, Vocollect, has unveiled the latest addition to its range of wearable computers - the Talkman T5. Amongst the smallest industrial-grade wearable computers ever produced, the pocket-sized, T5's advanced functionality and ergonomics are reported to deliver consistent and dependable performance in demanding industrial environments.
Introduction of the Talkman T5 brings Vocollect's options for performing voicedirected distribution applications to three: the industry-standard Talkman T2x; Vocollect Voice for Symbol's MC9060S; and the Talkman T5 next-generation wearable computer - designed to deliver accuracy and productivity in industrial environments.
The Talkman T5 offers a number of new features, including: Bluetooth wireless connectivity; automatic operator load where operator voice templates are downloaded automatically, enabling work to begin in seconds; and battery management providing details on run time.
The T5 also offers enhanced user comfort.
It is 33% smaller and 45% lighter than its predecessor, the Talkman T2x, and offers high levels of freedom of mobility.
Vocollect's newly released deployment management suite, VoiceConsole 2.1, allows customers to quickly set-up new users, control access and choose among 11+ languages for voice prompts.
