Euroscales back in business

Euroscales, Macclesfieldbased specialists in pallet and forklift truck scales technology, is fully operational after a massive fire destroyed the factory nearly three years ago. Now operating from its own purposedesigned manufacturing facility, the company is well positioned to design and produce specialised handling equipment and service all types of industrial weighing equipment.

Commenting on the resurrection of the family owned company, literally from the ashes, director Zeb Lawton said: "The shock of the fire and the length of time it has taken to rebuild our business has had an immense impact on us, but we have seen this as an opportunity to plan and build for the future. We now feel we are in a strong position to meet the challenge of low priced imports by offering levels of product innovation and service response which cannot be achieved with far eastern "me too" manufacturers."

The new factory features environmentally controlled plasma welding facilities and electronic development labs, as well as the storage and fulfilment department which services the growing web sales business.
