Highly robust pit-scale
February 1st 2007 Mettler Toledo Industrial Division has supplied and installed a highly durable pit-scale solution at the Warrington premises of Novelis Recycling, part of Novelis Inc., leading producer of rolled aluminium products. Novelis required a solution that would enable them to weigh smaller quantities of recycled aluminium material up to 5000kg in weight without having to use a time consuming factory weighbridge. With a weighing platform area of 4x2m, the scale is exceptionally robust, able to withstand the daily rigours of a busy smelting plant and the occasional drive over by forklift trucks using the factory floor.
