Loads like the cut of the jibJune 1st 2008
Carrying awkward loads can be a potential Health & Safety hazard for any workplace. "We needed to find a safe way of handling our bespoke manufactured frames," says Philip Houghton of Lilleker Engineering.
"Handling them on the forks of the truck was potentially too dangerous due to the risk factor of them slipping off, so we invested in a Contact forklift lifting jib. What used to be a two to three man operation is now carried out by one person, speeding up the process and making it safer." Contact Attachments specialises in material handling equipment and offers a range of jibs to fit on to the front of any forklift truck.
