New Kaup carton clamp

The handling of large, nonpalletised products such as brown and white goods is the intended application for the newly launched Carton Clamp from B&B Attachments.

Manufactured by Kaup, the T414-1 incorporates aluminium contact pads and bespoke arm connections on the guide profiles to improve the residual capacity of the forklift truck.

The introduction of these new parts has enabled Kaup to reduce the mass weight of the Carton Clamp by 80kg. It also improves the centre of gravity position and reduces lost load thickness.

In addition, the clamp's aluminium contact pads have been designed so that they can be turned 90° and 180° to allow maximum use before replacement.

The wear and tear bar at the base of the contact pads can be rotated and easily replaced when required.

Also, the outer sides of the clamp are almost completely enclosed, helping to reduce damage to warehouse racking and vehicles when loading.

The new clamp can also be supplied with sensors enabling it to automatically recognise the loading pattern and number of units to be lifted. This helps to prevent goods dropping due to incomplete gripping in the second row of a load.
