On-board weighing system
April 1st 2008 The Liftlog, an on-board
weighing instrument from
RDS Technology, has been
specifically designed for the
distribution centre
environment.
It can be retro-fitted to
forklift trucks without the
need to make any structural
alterations and is suitable
for use in yards and
warehouses, docks, shipping
yards and on factory floors.
The system helps the
operator avoid overloading
of storage and vehicles. Five
different channels can be
used for different products
or attachments and each
gives the sub-total for that
channel when loading. One
channel indicates the load
total, which can be verified
with the recommended load
for the shelving or vehicle.
An audible external alarm
is available and indicates
load capacity status in noisy
