has expanded its SnowEx
grit and sand spreader range
with the new Vee-Maxx SP-
7500. Designed for
spreading bulk grit, road
sand or a grit/sand mixture
for snow and ice control, the
1.070 cubic metre capacity,
bed-mounted spreader is
ideal for use on public
highways and private roads
and can also be mounted on
to the SnowEx twin wheel
chassis to create a standalone
trailed unit.
The large hopper is
constructed entirely of a
one-piece heavy-duty
polyethylene to eliminate
corrosion, making the Vee-
Maxx SP-7500 sixty per cent
lighter than comparable
steel units. This enables
payload to be substantially
increased and facilitates
easy removal and
installation. The hopper is
supported by a heavy-duty
powder-coated steel frame
and includes a weather-tight
automotive style wiring
loom and 300mm spinner.
The unit can easily spread
a range of materials thanks
to an adjustable 'V'
interchangeable grit/sand
baffle and attached vibrator,
which enables it to handle
non-free-flowing material
such as salt/sand mix, bulk
salt or moist material.
Powered by a high
torque, semi-sealed,
continuous duty
industrial12-volt DC motor,
the Vee-Maxx SP-7500 also
includes a variable speed,
cab-operated controller with
digital readout, which
enables the operator to be
kept updated on the level of
material remaining in the
