According to Contact Attachments, demand is high for forklift attachments to handle extra wide loads safely and efficiently.

The company’s design and product development manager, Stephen Bean, was asked recently to design and supply an attachment to lift loads of up to 10t and more than 4m wide.

Contact uses the latest CAD 3D modelling techniques, that enable special commissions such as this to be turned around in a matter of weeks.

The equipment weighs in at 670kg, measures 3.6m wide and has 2.1m long forks. Designated Triple X, the new attachment will now form part of Contact Attachments’ extensive product range.
