Cookie won’t crumble with Hawker

United Biscuits has specified EnerSys’s Hawker Motive Power batteries and chargers at its Ashby de la Zouch DC.

The battery installation, which includes a smart ‘call forward’ battery management system and a special battery handling arrangement, is crucial in maintaining truck uptime in the DC, which operates around the clock and dispatches more than 80 million cases of product annually.

United Biscuits says it specified the products because they represent the “very leading edge” in battery technology in terms of efficiency, energy savings, diagnostic and management data methodologies.
