Free safety posters April 1st 2006 Chloride Motive Power is offering industrial users of traction batteries a series of safety posters for use in charging rooms or areas.
The A4 posters are available free of charge and are encapsulated for durability.
The three posters cover operation and maintenance instructions for lead-acid batteries, precautionary measures and care instructions.
The posters include tips on charging, topping up, daily and weekly maintenance routines, hydrometer use, common mistakes, potential dangers and what to do in the event of an acid spill.
Chloride Motive Power can also supply a dedicated safety station, which can be wall-mounted in the charging area. It is purposebuilt and contains protective items as well as products that would be needed if an injury were to occur as a result of an acid spill. It includes rubber gloves, face visors, aprons, breathing masks, eye wash and a bag of soda ash to neutralise the acid spill.
Tony Summers, industrial energy group marketing manager said: "The posters are a valuable reminder to the workforce and can serve as a useful training aid to new staff. There are increasing regulations in the workplace covering health & safety and these items help employers meet their statutory requirements. The safety station is particularly popular because it ensures all the necessary items are immediately to hand at a cost which is relatively small compared to the many benefits it offers!"
The posters are available free of charge via the enquiry system. More articles from GNB Industrial Power: |
