New battery for heavy duty operations August 1st 2008 Exide Technologies (CMP
Batteries) has introduced a
'Copper Stretched Metal'
battery as part of its 'Classic'
range. To improve
performance over other
traditional vented lead acid
batteries, it incorporates a
negative copper expanded
metal grid design.
The battery is designed
for heavy-duty warehouse
operations involving high
current-draw applications,
including high bay reach
trucks, VNAs and bigger
counter balance.
The company claims tests
have shown that the CSM
batteries provide
improvements in
performance including: 5%
gain while driving, 6.5%
energy increase during
acceleration and 8.5%
improvement in power
during lifting operations. More articles from GNB Industrial Power: |
