Reservoir of water for charger
August 1st 2008

EnerSys has launched the Hawker Aquafree battery charger incorporating an automatic watering system.

The charger contains a water reservoir to reduce the amount of operator intervention when toppingup vented batteries with centralised watering systems.

The Aquafree comprises a charger, an electro valve, a water tank with level indicator and pump. Vented batteries with a centralised watering system are toppedup automatically every time they are recharged. The daily check and top up routine is eliminated and the correct electrolyte level is ensured.

The LED display on the reservoir indicates low charger water level. Charging is automatically stopped if there is insufficient water and the safety lock released when the tank has been filled. No mains water connection is required.
