New reach stacker from Hyster

To be introduced in three phases over the course of the next 12 months, Hyster has announced a new RS series of ReachStackers.

Container Handler (CH) models RS 45-27 CH, RS 45- 31 CH and RS 46-36 CH will roll off the production line from September 2006; Intermodal Handlers (IH) models RS 45-24 IH, RS 45- 28 IH and RS 46-33 IH 'combi-handlers' for containers & swap-bodies/ trailers will be available from November 2006; and Front Stabilizer models S-CH and SIH with additional capacity for 3rd container row/2nd rail handling will be introduced in Quarter 1, 2007.

Replacing the A222-series machines, the new generation machines retain the proven frame, boom and spreader structures as well as the front drive axle and rear steer axle of their predecessors.

For 2006, the Hyster ReachStacker features the proven Hyster "Vista cab", which offers a wide range of advanced features, to achieve maximum productivity in each shift.
