Balancing Act June 1st 2007 A recent series of comparative tests, many of which were based on VDI 2198 standards and all of which were carried out in a realistic, intensive application environment, are said to have shown that Hyster's electric counterbalanced trucks either equal or exceed the performance of its closest competitors.
The tests, which were undertaken at Hyster's Scotland plant, compared vital categories such as noise levels, cost per load moved, drawbar pull and low energy consumption.
The company says electric truck drivers enjoy remarkably low effort controllability, with an adjustable armrest and a choice of either TouchPoint mini-levers or TouchControl joystick.
The operator can also choose, via the dash display, from pre-set parameters, the right performance level to suit his own driving style, level of experience or to meet the application task. More articles from Hyster Europe: |
