New electric trucks
April 1st 2006

Finning Materials Handling, distributor of Cat Lift Trucks has introduced a new range of electric trucks.

In line with the DP/GP NRange, the Cat EPNT (3- wheel) and Cat EPCN (4- wheel) extend Finning's AC electric lift truck range, offering increased power for faster work cycles over longer period of time. The new EP40-50 range is said to provide exceptional performance in a wide range of applications.

Available in 1.6, 1.8 and 2.0t capacities, the EPNT and EPCN use AC technology for faster acceleration, higher top speeds and quicker deceleration. The AC motor also provides greater control over torque and speed for higher component reliability, extended up-time and higher overall productivity.

Adjustable fingertip control is complimented by the fully adjustable steering column, armrest and suspension seat, enabling operators to tailor the cab to suit their preference.

The EP range of 80V 4- wheel electric trucks is suited to work on gradients and applications where the power of an IC engine truck is needed. High levels of efficiency and regenerative braking help extend maintenance intervals.

Combined with maintenance-free wet disc brakes and AC motors, this helps to minimise service costs for the user.
