Are you sitting comfortably? April 1st 2006 In line with its strategy of continuous improvement, Toyota Industrial Equipment has set even higher ergonomic standards across its fourwheeled engine and electric counterbalanced forklifts.
The company has developed the design of its 7FBMF and 7IC ranges to ensure customers benefit from even greater levels of productivity, safety and operator efficiency.
Comfortable drivers significantly improve safety as they are more likely to concentrate on the job in hand. Good ergonomics minimise fatigue and stress as well as help protect the driver from injuries such as back and neck problems.
Key developments include new user-friendly mini-levers positioned on a comfortable armrest linked to the seat. The position of the mini-levers, which come as standard on the counterbalanced range and is an option on the 7IC, helps eliminate driver strain that might otherwise be caused by reaching out to these functions elsewhere on the truck.
