B3 fills in for VNA August 1st 2005 A Bendi B313 from Translift has enabled vinyl flooring producer, Polyflor to carry on working and save money.
When a Boss WA15 manup VNA truck went down through water damage four years into a five year lease, Polyflor was left to commit to another five year contract – because short term lease was not an option on these specialised trucks – or use an articulated forklift instead.
Luckily, Polyflor had stored enough full pallet loads without needing man-up capability for break bulk order picking.
Initially dubious that the Bendi could effectively replace the Boss, the company decided to opt for a B3 after testing it against a competing truck. Polyflor has now decided that a mix of trucks makes better commercial sense than a dedicated fleet of VNA manup trucks, provided that there are enough products that do not require man-up.
