For TCM, Skye's not the limit April 1st 2008 Carrs Billington is a supplier
of feed for ruminant animals
and has a delivery area
which stretches from the Isle
of Skye to South Wales. It
has been successfully using
a fleet of 38 TCM diesel fork
lift trucks for 10 years and
reports that the trucks are
still going strong.
Operations engineer,
Nigel Hillyer, decided to hire
TCM diesel trucks on fiveyear
leases at the start of
1998. Today the group
operates a fleet of 38, of
which 22 are at Carrs
Billington. All are
2500kg capacity
diesel counterbalance
trucks
with cabs and side
shift.
Nigel Hillyer
explains that 15
truck companies
were invited to
tender. He says
"TCM won on price, aftersales,
robust build quality
and driver rating; Our
drivers think the trucks are
fantastic."
TCM dealer Permatt based
in the North East won the
contract on the promise of
reliability and performance.
Permatt MD, Mark Percy:
"TCM trucks are so reliable
we are happy to send them
far and wide. We have put
over 30 trucks into Carrs and
we service them all. We're
happy to put TCM trucks in
even the remote places
because we know once
they go out we don't see
them again, and a simple
service takes under an hour
to perform."
Carrs' associate company
in South Africa has also
switched to TCM after
visiting its UK factories and
listening to drivers'
comments. More articles from TCM Industrial Equipment Distribution: |
