Forklift to move pallet-based deliveries June 1st 2008 Kerrier Council has taken delivery of a new
Samuk R25CD forklift truck for use by its
Direct Services division in Redruth, Cornwall.
The R25CD has been supplied by local
Samuk dealer PWF Forklifts, and will be used
to move a variety of pallet-based deliveries
across its site – ranging from recycling boxes
and bark chippings through to flowers and
stationery supplies. The Samuk is also
expected to move historical burial ledgers
that date back to the 1700s, as well as large
boxes of accounts and council tax records
that are carefully racked in the authority's
corporate stores.
Offering a lifting capacity of up to 2.5t,
the new Samuk replaces an older pallet truck
and has also been adapted by the authority's
team of engineers to act as a shunting
vehicle for skips and small vehicle trailers
around the depot.
Six council staff have been trained to drive
the Samuk, which will operate six days a
week and is expected to clock-up
approximately 32 to 45 working hours per
week. As with all trucks in Samuk's latest RSeries
range, the R25CD offers excellent
through-mast visibility, which will help to
reduce the possibility of accidents. More articles from Samuk Lift Trucks Limited: |
