Key role in cold storage

Two Crown SC three-wheeled electric counterbalance trucks continue to play a key role at the Avonmouth cold storage facility of Border Holdings.

Initially acquired on contract hire, the two fully cold protected units have now been purchased outright a decision made on the basis of high levels of reliability and service support.

Handling within the store is carried out by both the 1.6 and 1.8t capacity trucks, while the 1.6 unit is also used for loading/unloading lorries and other general handling duties around the 5 acre complex.

Features include full suspension seats for driver comfort, on-board computer diagnostics and pre-set programmable performance levels.
