Low cost weighing attachment
October 1st 2004 The Advanced Weighing Company is introducing a new, low cost, weighing attachment for Class II forklift trucks.
Based on the principles of high strength, high accuracy, single point load cells, the new SoloWeigh consists of two independent, weight sensitive forks which attach directly to the trucks existing carriage plate. This considerably reduces the loss of truck capacity which occurs when the more conventional, and heavy, weight sensitive carriage plate assembly is used.In-cab displays range from simple weight-only with tare, to complex weight computing and totalling features with printout and data capture.
The SoloWeigh is a new addition to the already established range of forklift weighing systems available from Advanced Weighing. The LiftWeigh system uses hydraulic pressure in the lifting ram to weigh product.
Providing less accuracy than load-cell based systems, the LiftWeigh contributes zero loss of truck capacity, high speed of weighing, and insensitivity to out of level applications. The ForkWeigh system uses two load cells in a construction which fits easily onto Class II and III trucks. Of high accuracy (1kg in 2000kg, for instance) the ForkWeigh has found extensive use in the checking of goods inwards and outwards, vehicle loading, bag and silo filling.
