Make light work of heavy jobs
October 1st 2007

Hyster has launched a new generation H8.00-16.00XM-6 Series, a 14 strong range designed to handle heavier applications

Delivering performance and productivity in the toughest of environments, the H8.00-16.00XM-6 features a larger 6.7 litre Cummins QSB6.7 diesel engine with a performance of 155 Hp / 116 kW @ 2300 rpm. The clean running engine conforms to the EC Tier 3 emissions regulations for NRMM (Non-Road Mobile Machinery). An LPG version is also available with the Cummins 6B-LPG-Plus engine, with the same 155 Hp power output.

The truck is suitable for operating in environments from -18ºC up to 50ºC ambient for normal operations, or up to 45ºC for a heavy duty operation, thanks to a new cooling system.

A new generously sized aluminium radiator block consists of four individual sections: Charge air cooler, engine coolant, brake and hydraulic oil and transmission oil, and also features a cleaner air entry, now located at the top of the counterweight.

Its cooling air-intake grill is also hinged for easy access to clean the radiator. All these features contribute to maintaining productivity and reliability in arduous applications.

Comfort and safety Hyster's 'Vista' cab, incorporates a range of standard ergonomic features, designed to achieve maximum productivity from every shift with the operator compartment positioned 'mid-high' and forward for optimal visibility on the forks.

An air-suspension seat and air-conditioning are options and the dash display is positioned to the driver's right-hand side, to avoid distraction and maximise forward visibility.

Modern styling introduces a downward sloping hood-line and low-profile rear counterweight, with integrated fenders and LED rear lights. The exhaust muffler is mounted further to the rear and the inlet air pre-cleaner is now low-mounted and is a maintenance-free 'Sy-Klone' (with internal spinning vane). The air-conditioning system is also mounted at the rear cab roof. All of which enhance rearward visibility.

Lower costs The range has a number of standard features to manage truck operating costs, including oil-immersed 'wet discs' brakes, durable driveline; robust drive axle and advanced auto-shift transmission system with engine and transmission protection systems as standard. An engine shutdown function is also included and to minimise service time and cost, the cab features a powered tilt facility so the clean running engine has easy service access at all times.
