More UK companies than ever opting for LPG
February 1st 2004

Increased environmental concerns combined with the need for higher productivity has seen more UK companies than ever recognise LPG forklifts as key in solving materials handling issues, says Toyota Industrial Equipment.

Since 1997, the UK market for LPG units has increased by over 50% partly due to legislation that requires low emissions. According to Toyota, in general LPG forklifts produce emissions that are at least 98% below the level required by legislation, containing only a trace of nitrogen dioxide and 0.1mg/m3 of carbon monoxide.

Toyota has invested heavily in the research and development of its LPG range, which boasts 100% power throughout 24hr operations. Suitable for use on uneven floor surfaces, they can be operated inside and out.

Lifting capacities range from 1.5 to 6t, making the trucks suitable for use in medium and heavy duty environments.

Units with capacities up to 5t feature Toyotas SAS safety system.
