Need more indoors? June 1st 2009 Hyster says its latest compact electric E2.2-3.5XN models with cushion tyres deliver high
reliability, low costs and increased energy efficiency within indoor applications
The E2.2-3.5XN models come in
capacities up to 3.5 tonnes and are
specifically designed for indoor use,
with compact dimensions and cushion tyres.
Available in a choice of five models with a
variety of configurations, the E2.2-3.5XN is
designed to achieve low ownership costs,
through a combination of reliability,
performance, energy efficiency, driver
comfort and serviceability.
Featuring AC motor technology on
traction and hoist and customisable
performance settings, the E2.2-3.5XN
delivers competitive performance with
extended shift life and reduced battery
change requirements. The truck's cushion
tyres provide high traction on smooth indoor
surfaces and help reduce energy
consumption further.
As operator costs have a significant effect
on overall operating costs, attention to
ergonomics is paramount. The driver
compartment is spacious offering maximum
visibility and comfort with an adjustable fullsuspension
seat and armrest, and generous
foot and storage space.
Control options, including TouchPoint
Mini-levers, are designed for easy and
responsive control, while the low step height
provides easy on/off access and the rear grab
handle and integral horn button makes
driving in reverse easier. The 'heads-up'
display, positioned in the top, front right
corner of the driver compartment, ensures
that the operator's field of vision is kept
clear, allowing at-a-glance information
regarding the truck's operating condition
and performance settings.
An advanced design drive axle, with
power assisted regenerative brakes and steer
axle featuring the HSM (Hyster Stability
Mechanism), gives the driver confidence in
the truck's stability and manoeuvrability and
helps to increase productivity with fast
direction changes. The truck's compact
dimensions and high visibility mast improves
manoeuvrability in tight aisle widths,
speeding up productivity and throughput.
To deliver low cost of ownership with
maximum reliability, the electrical system
features a CANbus communication network
managed by the Pacesetter VSM (Vehicle
System Manager) that continuously
monitors truck operation and protects key
components. To optimise motor
performance, the low maintenance AC
traction and hoist motors include thermal
sensors linking to an intelligent cooling
system which is also managed by the VSM.
With unrestricted access and onboard
diagnostics, the EXN range is easily
serviceable, providing a 1000hr service
interval as standard. More articles from Hyster Europe: |
