On-site surveys for potential savings October 1st 2004 Before even quoting for a potential customer, Toyota Industrial Equipment always carries out an extensive on-site survey.
The site survey is the single most important link in the chain when it comes to advising a business on a piece of material handling equipment because quite often it can save the customer money, says Colin Davison, warehouse product manager at Toyota.
In a recent case a customer said they needed a two tonne reach truck to work double deep racking. Following the survey, Toyota was able to advise that a 1.6t model fitted with Kooi reach forks would be more than adequate, saving the customer money. More articles from Toyota Material Handling UK: |
