Risks minimised by logging system
December 1st 2004 Excellent service levels are reported to have helped Impact Toyota win a major contract to supply materials handling equipment to the Mexborough site of Caradon Stelrad.
The central heating radiator manufacturer has ordered 15 forklifts and 12 powered pallet trucks for tasks ranging from the loading of steel coils, to taking finished radiator products out of the distribution facility to be delivered to the customer.
A logging system on the trucks ensures the drivers only have access to those units which they are authorised to drive. This also enables monitoring of use for the preparation of efficiency and safety reports to help minimise risks and accidental damage. More articles from Impact Handling: |
