Strong and robust trucks for a tough environment August 1st 2006 When Newcastle-based independent fruit and vegetable wholesaler, Thomas Baty decided to renew its fleet of forklifts, it turned to SEV Group. SEV will renew one third of Baty's fleet per year for the next three years, while also providing service and maintenance for the vehicles.
Dudley Baty, managing director, said: "Our forklifts are incredibly important to us, because they are involved every time we move produce and can be in use 18 hours a day.
"We need strong, robust machines that can cope with a very demanding working environment, plus fastresponse maintenance support.
SEV Group supplies trucks from Doosan Daewoo and BT Rolatruc to the North-East and North Yorkshire. Units are provided for purchase, or long and flexible short term hire.
The depot engineers also service and repair customers' own forklift trucks.
According to Jim Quinn, business development manager for SEV Group: "The new Doosan Daewoo range is making serious in-roads in the UK. Not all of their competitors are willing to give a three-year manufacturer's warranty." More articles from Doosan Infracore Co. Ltd: |
