Smartcards save Ł20k

UTi Logistics has a network of over 175 logistics centres based across 23 countries.

It develops specialised clientspecific supply chain solutions, with its Aylesford site operating within the contract logistics sector.

It employs 17 people and has a mixed fleet of counterbalance and reach trucks leased from Linde Material Handling.

Following consultations between Davis Derby and the customer a full Trucklog Fleet Management system using Smartcard technology was fitted to all counterbalance and reach trucks. Since it's implementation the site has seen a 100% reduction in racking damage saving around Ł20,000 p/a.
