Atlet plays to its Forte
February 1st 2006 Featuring enhanced performance, safety and ergonomics, Atlet has unveiled the latest generation of its UNS Tergo reach truck. The truck is also said to be stronger and quieter, while its on-board computer system has been further developed to aid diagnostics, allowing a high degree of customisation and providing a host of operational data.
Atlet says that the numerous improvements incorporated into the Forte will provide the high performance, allied to safety, reliability and ease of operation, that are essential in maintaining sustained productivity and minimal truck down-time. It is available with lift capacities of 1400, 1600 and 2000kg and standard lift heights up to 10.8m.
The Forte's driving speed has been increased by than 16%, to a maximum of 14 km/h. Its stacking operations are also faster; with new lift/lower motors lift speed has been increased by 20%, to 0.7m/s, and the mast reach speed goes up by 66% per cent, to 0.2m/s.
