Central hub for used Hysters April 1st 2009 Barloworld has opened a
National Used Equipment
Reception Centre in
Tamworth, Staffordshire.
The 62,000ft2 premises
will be a central hub for all
equipment finishing longterm
rental contracts. It will
be used for receipt and
storage of used equipment
which will be assessed, and
then redistributed for re-sale,
hire, or if necessary, disposal.
The facility means
Barloworld can store all of
its ex-rental equipment in
one central location giving it
much greater access and
control of its assets.
The centre is large
enough that all trucks will
be stored undercover
thereby protecting
equipment from further
deterioration.
"This investment will
further improve our logistics
efficiency and truck
movements so that we are
even more responsive to
customer needs," says Mark
Ward, Barloworld UK
commercial asset manager. More articles from Barloworld Handling: |
