with a re-engineered
website the content of
which is now easier to find
and more comprehensive.
David Ellison, FLTA Chief
Executive, says "Within the
site, fork truck users will
find instant answers to
many problems – and will
be directed to sources of
further help and advice."
Commenting on the site's
'find a member or service'
facility, he says "We believe
that fork lift users should
always seek suppliers who
are FLTA members. The
fact that our members have
all agreed to abide by a
strict Code of Practice, and
are kept up to date on
safety legislation and best
practice, gives immediate
peace of mind."
Customers can input
their postcode and search
for a fork lift supplier within
20, 40 or 60 miles of that
location.
Similarly, it is possible to
search for those who are
accredited to CFTS, under
the materials handling
industry's own national
accreditation scheme, to
deliver Thorough
Examinations.
The site also contains a
section on legislation and
advice where visitors can
download free FLTA Fact
Sheets and a list of relevant
publications from the HSE
