The Fork Lift Truck Association has gone live with a re-engineered website the content of which is now easier to find and more comprehensive.

David Ellison, FLTA Chief Executive, says "Within the site, fork truck users will find instant answers to many problems – and will be directed to sources of further help and advice." Commenting on the site's 'find a member or service' facility, he says "We believe that fork lift users should always seek suppliers who are FLTA members. The fact that our members have all agreed to abide by a strict Code of Practice, and are kept up to date on safety legislation and best practice, gives immediate peace of mind." Customers can input their postcode and search for a fork lift supplier within 20, 40 or 60 miles of that location.

Similarly, it is possible to search for those who are accredited to CFTS, under the materials handling industry's own national accreditation scheme, to deliver Thorough Examinations.

The site also contains a section on legislation and advice where visitors can download free FLTA Fact Sheets and a list of relevant publications from the HSE and other organisations.
