Doosan and Rushlift win big February 1st 2009 Doosan national account partner, Rushlift,
has won a 100 plus truck deal with Aliaxis in
what it terms as one of the most keenly
fought materials handling tenders of the
year. The firm worked with Doosan to secure
initial orders for different Aliaxis companies
in Woolwich, Lenham and Cannock.
Aliaxis, a privately held company is best
known in the UK through its trading brands
of Hunter Plastics, Durapipe, GPS and Marley
Plumbing and Drainage. Employing 15,000
people worldwide, it has a presence in over
50 countries. More than 100 manufacturing
and commercial companies, many of which
trade using strong regional brands supply a
host of trade professionals in four key market
segments: building, sanitary, industrial and
utilities.
"In previous years, large deals like this
would only be possible if the operations in
each part of the UK were of similar type,"
says Rushlift's John Chappell. "Now, with
developments in forklift design, our own
strong financial arrangements, online
management of equipment and a network
service personnel across the land, we feel
that we are able to bring the benefits of
larger fleet deals to disparate groups of
companies. It is a sign of things to come."
"Almost 70 trucks have been delivered to
date," says Rushlift national accounts
manager, Matt Turner (pictured, right with
Aliaxis UK group purchasing category
manager, Jim Holloway), "and so far the
response has been very good. We set up the
online fleet management system to give the
Aliaxis stakeholders real time access to fleet
performance. We're working hard to ensure
the group are well catered and well cared
for, this is exactly what Rushlift does best." More articles from Rushlift Ltd: |
